Call this number in case of life-threatening events, or in cases where every second counts.

Please state clearly to the operator:
* what kind of help you need (ambulance, police, fire department);

The 112-operator will connect you to the requested emergency service: please clearly state to the emergency service:

* where you are;
* what the emergency is;
* any other relevant info.

Please follow the instructions of the operator closely until the emergency services arrive.

Less urgent medical assistance

* The conference staff team comprises several qualified emergency response officers.
* You can recognize them by a yellow band.
* In case of slight injuries they can help you out or arrange the proper first aid for you.

Home physician

* In case you need a home physician, contact the conference staff or staff at your accommodation; they will be able to refer you to the nearest facility.

Payment of costs involved

In case of minor costs, immediate payment may be requested; an invoice will always be issued at your request. Please do note that payment by credit card is not as common as it is in other countries and may not always be possible.


The organizers stress that every conference participant is responsible for arranging proper health and travel insurance and are not liable for any medical costs incurred at and/or related to the conference.
